UKHC legends THE STUPIDS finally get the re-issue treatment their back catalogue deserves courtesy of Boss Tuneage on June 30th!
Here's the full details...
Available both on CD (first pressings are coloured vinyl effect CDs packed in a digipack with 16 page booklet featuring liner notes from interviews with Tommy plus a whole heap of unseen photos and memoribilia!)
The vinyl version is a bespoke gatefold sleeve, coloured vinyl in printed inner sleeve and replicates all the liner notes/info to be found on the CD versions! THese are limited to 500 copies only!
As a special incentive you can also choose to buy all 4 titles on either CD or LP from the Boss Tuneage website (www.bosstuneage.com) at a reduced price!
We will also be shipping out preorders placed with us as soon as we get the stock, so chances are you will receive your copies at least a week before the official shop release date on the 30th June..
A lot of the first pressing is already allocated to our distributors so preorder now to avoid disappointment!
THE STUPIDS discography is a series of six reissue titles on LP and CD - Boss Tuneage has co-ordinated all 6 reissues , with the final two installments beiong released by Visible Noise (We hope to have copies of these two titles available closer to the release date)
The first four reissues in the series are as follows...
VIOLENT NUN:
White Vinyl LP contains the Violent Nun 8 track 7" plus the 4 other tracks from the Leave Your Ears Behind demo (avilabel on vinyl for the first time)
Black Vinyl Effect CD contains 15 bonus tracks from the bands original FAT DRUNK AND STUPID 4 track demo (previously unreleased)
PERUVIAN VACATION
Yellow vinyl LP conatining the original 14 track debut album recorded in 1985
Yellow Vinyl Effect CD contains 19 bonus tracks including teh unreleased Mr Adult LP (also know as the Feedback session), the demo from 3/1/1985 and three unreleased tracks from side project THE COOLEST RETARDS
RETARD PICNIC
Red Vinyl LP containing the original 16 track breakthrough album from 1986
Red Vinyl Effect CD contains an eye watering 26 bonus tracks, including the unreleased flexi and Retard Picnic outtakes, plus an entiure 17 song live recording recorded via the desk of the bands Washington DC show in January 1987, previoulsy unreleased
THE COMPLETE BBC PEEL SESSIONS
Purple vinyl LP and Purple Vinyl Effect CD version contain the same 18 (or 20, if you count the medleys) tracks recorded by both THE STUPIDS (three sessions) and FRANKFURTER (One session) - only the second STUPIDS Peel Session has been available before, and only on the 12" Peel Sessions series Strange Fruit did.. the first, third and FRANKFURTER Sessions have never been released before and remain unavilable since first broadcast back in 1986 and 1987.
Prices:
CD : £11ppd each (or special offer all 4 titles for £40ppd)

These have been a real labour of love for me (almost FOUR YEARS in the making!) so you can be assured of the quality of these reissues..
At last THE STUPIDS get the reissues their back catalogue deserves, and for the first time with complete band involvement on the reissues, making them the must own versions!
**We will also be doing wholesale rates on these, min 5 copies order per title....***

Brixton Academy – at the heart of multi-racial London – will be the final rallying point on Wednesday 30th April 2008 for the national campaign to Stop The BNP in this years local elections.
At Brixton Academy on the 30th of this month, veteran socialist and campaigner Tony Benn, who spoke at Trafalgar Square 30 years ago, will be joined by Alabama 3, The Levellers, Misty in Roots, Tom Robinson and The Thirst to reinforce the anti-racist message for May 1st.
As fate would have it the 30th April, the eve of the local elections, is also the exact 30th Anniversary of the legendary Rock Against Racism carnival in 1978 when 100,000 people marched from Trafalgar Square to Victoria Park to oppose the National Front and to listen to the Clash, Tom Robinson Band, Steel Pulse and X Ray Spex.
Throughout this month, an open-topped bus decked out with the Hope Not Hate banners will tour the country picking up celebrities along the way before heading down to London for it’s final leg.
Campaigners and trade unions are urging people to get involved in the campaign and the 29th of April has been set aside for a day of action with a wide range of activities planned.
